Online Launch of Ageism Awareness Day 2021

On International Day of Older Persons 2021, the EveryAGE Counts campaign launched the first Ageism Awareness Day.

Coinciding with the UN's International Day of Older Persons on 1 October 2021, Dr Marlene Krasovitsky facilitated a discussion with Monica Trapaga, Kay Patterson AO and Robert Tickner about ageism in an online event opened with a live performance from Monica Trapaga.

The discussion introduced the ageism aware theme: Ageism. Know it. Name it.

By knowing it and naming it, we are in a much stronger position to act.
