The EveryAGE Counts campaign is delighted to be able to share a signature recipe for Ageism Awareness Day, provided by Maggie Beer.
Maggie Beer was honoured as Senior Australian of the Year in 2010, and makes a major contribution campaigning for better aged care services and against age discrimination.
Maggie says, “I think we have a real problem with ageism and I want to show age has nothing to do with it. I’m 76 and I love my life. I’ve got as much energy as anyone else and that comes from doing what I love and being a positive person.”
The EveryAGE Counts Team have also scoured Maggie's recipies for our favourites, that you might also wish to look at:

- Sue’s kind of slice – ginger nut and milk arrowroot biscuits and it's no bake, so you can’t burn it! https://www.maggiebeer.com.au/recipes/no-bake-apricot-almond-ginger-slice--2
